How to Make your Skin Glow and Healthy for Men

Healthy and glowing skin is not just for women, men too can glow and have luxurious skin. It is possible to get clear skin without too much effort. You only need to build a consistent skin routine that includes cleansing, moisturizing and exfoliating.

It will also help to develop healthy lifestyle practices and avoid stressors

Let's explore how you can have a glowing skin as a man

01. Wash your face and body

Use a bar of moisturizing soap and a sponge to wash dead skin cells away from your body. You should wash your skin twice a day.

If you have dry skin, you can consider washing it just once but for oily skin you should wash your skin twice a day.

It is a healthy practice to wash your skin after it gets sweaty. For easier cleansing, look for a gentle cleanser that you can use to keep your skin clean.

02. Moisturize

Moisturizing keeps the body soft and smooth. If you have dry skin, you should consider a rich moisturizer that can provide moisture to your skin.

For most men, a regular moisturizing lotion is perfect. When you shop for moisturizer pick a moisturizer that is "noncomedogenic", this means the product is safe to use and will not clog on your skin pores

03. Exfoliate

Men need to exfoliate, dead skin accumulates and can make the skin look very dull, exfoliation helps to remove dead cells on the skin

However, you shouldn't exfoliate too much, it will irritate your skin and make it red.

Exfoliate once a week and twice at maximum

04. Wear sunscreen

Prevention is better than cure. You should wear sunscreen when you intend to spend long hours outdoors. The sun can cause potential damage to the skin, it can cause hyperpigmentation and eventual skin cancer. Wear a sunscreen daily that is at least SPF 30.

When you use sunscreen consistently, you reduce the risk of skin conditions like eczema and melanoma which are linked to UV rays of the sun

05. Harmful habits

For your skin to glow and stay healthy, it is important you cut back on excessive drinking and smoking. Excess alcohol can cause damage to your skin. Cigarettes are not better; they can produce wrinkles on your face and body and decrease blood flow. Your skin gets healthy when you practice healthy lifestyle habits

06. Drink Water

Skin cells are made of water and need water to stay hydrated and refreshed. A common way to test your water intake is to see if your urine is clear, if it is still very yellowish color then you need to increase your water intake. Drink at least 2 liters of water per day

07. Get enough Sleep

Experts recommend 7-9 hours of sleep per day. Sleep is vital for the body, brain and skin.

It helps in the repair of damaged tissues in the body and produces healthy cells. Ensure you sleep comfortably.
