Follow these tips to establish a maintainable skincare routine:


1. Cleansing


Your skin's greatest enemy is dirt. Wash your skin twice a day. After washing, use a cleanser in the palm of your hand and rub gently on your face in a circular motion. Rinse off after a couple of minutes. Allow the cleanser to absorb into your skin to remove dirt and excess oil on the skin.

Cleanse your skin moderatlely to avoid removing too many natural oils. Avoid cleansers, containing harsh chemicals.


2. Toning


After cleansing your face apply a water-based toner to help keep your face free of dirt. This should be applied before applying a moisturizer.

Choose a product that is suitable for your skin type.


3. Use serum


Serums can protect your skin against complexion issues, such as dark spots and wrinkles.

Choose a serum that best fits your concern. Be sure to read manufacturing recommendations for application. Some serums are best used in the morning, while some are best used at night.


4. Moisturize


Moisturizers are recommended for all skin types to keeps the skin fresh, hydrated and soft.

Depending on your skin type, there are different moisturizers:

For oily skin: use a lighter moisturizer during the day and a thicker moisturizer at night.

For dry skin: use a thicker moisturizer. The drier the skin the more frequently moisturizer will need to be applied.

Use moisturizers free of potential irritants, like alcohol. For best results, always massage your moisturizer deep into your skin.


5. Eye cream


Eye creams are formulated to protect the eye area from wrinkles, dark circles and under eye bags.

Use products with peptides, retinol and vitamins.

6. Sunscreen


Sun can cause potential damage to the skin. It can cause skin irritations, redness and skin cancer. Always wear a sunscreen when spending time outdoors.

Experts recommend using sunscreen indoors as Sunrays can penetrate through the window.

Use sunscreen that contains SPF 30.
